The possibilities are almost endless when it comes to getting creative with your favourite supplements and adding them to recipes for an extra boost of nutrition in your diet (in the most delicious way possible). But if you’re pressed for time or just want to try whipping up something quick and easy, our Protein Popsicles are hard to beat. Simply blend up this delicious protein smoothie and freeze in icy pole moulds for a sweet and refreshing snack to enjoy any time of the day.
A base ingredient of these popsicles is Greek yoghurt, which is loaded with protein itself. This helps keep you fuller for longer, making it a great option to remain satisfied until your next meal. Among its impressive range of nutritional properties, it’s also full of probiotics that are fantastic for gut health. If you’ve read our previous article, you’ll know why this can help improve your mental wellbeing as well.
Nut butter is another staple ingredient that’s packed with nutrients. The benefits vary depending on which type you choose, but our go-to is peanut butter. This provides a healthy dose of protein and good fats, as well as a source of calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc. Almond butter is another extremely nutritious option that’s rich in vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, manganese and phosphorous.
The star of the show is our whole food protein powder CMBT RELOAD. Formulated with our elite plant protein blend, ant-inflammatory blend, gut health blend and electrolyte blend, your body will be armed with the complete nutrition it needs to perform and recover at the highest level.
If you want to get creative, try freezing your favourite protein smoothie or adding in extras such as fruit or granola. If a fruity option is more to your taste, you could also mix CMBT OCTANE with water and freeze. Like we said...the possibilities are endless!
- 2 tbsp nut butter (we use natural peanut butter)
- 1 cup milk (any type will do the trick)
- 1 ½ scoops CMBT RELOAD (we used Chocolate)
- ½ cup Greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Blend all ingredients.
- Pour into popsicle moulds and set in the freezer.
It’s as easy as that!
